Catherine Miles, Jay Mafale, and Paul Silverman are THE YAYAS. They are also lifelong friends. It’s that friendship, immediately apparent onstage, that makes their audience feel so at home. And that could explain why their audiences quickly become part of the show (sometimes even providing the set list by picking songs out of a hat). The trio tells stories in songs that make you think and sometimes laugh. They tell stories between the songs that make you laugh and sometimes think. Catherine’s voice has been described as intimate, powerful, honest. Jay’s percussive guitar and Paul’s melodic piano create that distinctive “YaYa” sound. The YaYas do more than simply draw people in, they share themselves and the show with everyone in the room.
