Great Blues Instruments
Great Blue (performing Americana music), Dave Hull (performing on guitar and spoken word), and Chick's Candy Store (performing jazz/eclectic music) will each warm your winter's evening with performances at the venerable Putnam Arts Council.
Great Blue is a musical duo using two voices, guitars and mandolin to weave a fabric of eclectic tunes that warm the heart and feed the soul.  Their memorable harmonies are carefully delivered to touch people by emphasizing their meaningful lyrics.  They strive to pass on songs from our musical influences, and to showcase tunes they’ve crafted ourselves.  When you wake up after one of their performances, you won’t need a radio.  Their tunes will already be with you.
Dave Hull has been a featured showcase performer and open mic finalist at the Towne Crier Café.  Hull possesses a passion for poetry and six and twelve string guitar instrumentals.  His original and interpretative songs reflect his use of imagery, candor, and whimsy to grab and hold the audience.
Maggie Seligman (vocals), Martin Aronchick (guitar) and Richard Brooker (guitar and mandolin) comprise Chick’s Candy Store and play a wide range of music with an emphasis on jazz standards.  It’s hard not to have fun at their performances because of their mellow vibe, their fresh, sometimes surprising interpretations of the music, and their warm engagement with the audience. Chick’s Candy Store has appeared at a variety of fairs, festivals, gallery openings, clubs and restaurants, and private parties at venues in New York City, Connecticut, the Capitol District, and throughout the Hudson Valley.
Reservations can be made at the Putnam Arts Council by telephone (845-803-8622).
